Update!!!

Well, the car seems to be in better shape than I thought. Now, Im getting signs of the engine cranking, somewhat. A sigh a relief!! The interior has been stripped completely and deodorized. Right now, its drying off. Dave had a look at the other night. Tomorrow, or sometime this week, the interior should be back in, the stock wheels are being put back on, and hopefully, the engine problem will be solved. Until then, I will let you all know how it comes out.

bump....got me some parts on order now, outta my own pocket expense. Well, just to get me back on the road again. Anyway, car hasnt moved, YET! Its thoroughly dryed out now. Filed that claim with the state yesterday. As far as I know it, engine is most likely hydrolocked as from what Ive heard and read. Hopefully, the rods are not bent and I can still run.

The Injen CAI is gonna get mounted higher up, instead of its lowered position in back of the front bumper. So if anything like this happens again, I should be somewhat in a better position. Besides, less travel for the air to engine. Also, not sure if Im gonna do this but, thinking of adding on a slightly bigger throttle body to it.

Another update!!

Just pulled the plugs on the engine...vacuumed out some water. Just hoping water didnt seep around the piston rings.

Well, for most that know, I got that sad and disappointing news....(sob sob) =( Yippeeee!! call. Unfortunately, the car is at a loss of $33K. Oh darn!! One word, TOTALLED!! Well, they pay off the car next week with a total value of $26K...sorry, dont think you can get away that easily. They forgot about the extra options that came with the car....prem., sport, aero pkg. which is at least another 2K. I can deal with that, but not when market value is below KBB price.

Should be getting another car next week.

Funny thing that you mentioned, " state". I havent heard a word from then since I reported the situation. And that was about a month ago. Feb is almost here so, who knows what the state is doing. I will keep everyone posted on the situation. Hopefully, I will have that new coupe soon.

Well, I always liked the coupe when I first saw it. But, I already purchased the sedan and really didnt want to wait another year for it to come out then. A few factors went into consideration before I thought of that coupe.

First, I got a quote from my ins. co and low and behold, its $46 cheaper than the sedan from some strange reason. Secondly, I can actually fit my bike and car in my one car garage without having to fit the bike into every nook and cranny. Third, love the look of the coupe, <dont get me wrong, the sedan is lovely too> and love the sleek design. Also, on the market, there are more parts for the coupe than sedan.

New coupe on its way for delivery, tomorrow!! Whoa...let me see....6mt...its been a while since I drove one of those stick shifts....lol!

Well, the 03 sedan is at Infiniti's lot, rotting away in the blazing sun and ever present on going rains. Took a look at it today and it was covered with water spots and dirt. So, I said my last goodbyes...sob sob =( and removed everything that was mine. Insurance paid me off, signed over the reg and that as they say, is that. Turned around to Infiniti, put the down payment and now its a matter of waiting.

Black on black 04 6mt coupe...base model. Not really interested in all that fancy doo-hickeys like prem....although the bose and sunroof would be nice. On the brighter side, I can use that money towards exhaust and other thingys.
