Best Place for Tint in Socal

Where should I go for my window tint in Southern California? I live in San Diego, but I go up to LA once in a while, so I'd probably go just about any where in SoCal. Thanks.

Depends on where you want to go. I think everyone has a favorite local shop. Up here in Temecula is Mr. Tint, and they're really good. I got a quote to tint all the windows for $155.00 for the lifetime warranty. There's a couple other shops up here, but Mr. Tint I think has the best reputation around this area.

Got my tint done at whittier tint shop (WTS). in Pico Rivera , CA (l.a.) They did an excellent job. Located right off the 605, Whittier Bl exit (hust next to the FWY next to a gas station). I love they all metalic tints. look awesome.

Sunset Glass Tint in Culver City. Right off the 405 in Culver city. Eric has been tinting for years. He's done my last 3 cars. Other places may be cheaper. Caveat emptor (Let the Buyer Beware) Eric takes his time and best of all on the Rear window he tints with only a single piece. He dosen't cut it into strips that others try to hide the lines on the rear window defroster. My 2 cents......

NismoV35. This guy Eric, you say he has been tinting windows for a long time? Do you know how long? Did he ever mention he used to be on Crenshaw Blvd. about 10 yrs ago? If this is the same guy, who I have been looking for, is just as you described, "good"! He was doing quality work way back then.

Do you know how long it takes for the tinting at Sunset? I don't typically stay in LA for too long. Also how much did it cost you for your tint job? The way you talk about this Eric makes me want to just make a special trip to LA from SD just for my tint. Thanks

Re: Best Place for Tint in Socal

Ushmon,
Eric takes a little longer than others. But it's well worth the wait. So maybe count on a few hours. My G-35 was the first one he ever did. He did say doing the rear window harder than normal. I think he said he would charge $195 or so. He does both front windows, all four of the rear side windows, the 2 roll up and the small corner ones Plus the rear window. I've been Very Satisfied with his work, He's the only person I let touch my windows. Well Make the call and enjoy the Best tinting around........NV-35

Re: Best Place for Tint in Socal

To update this thread, I am having my G tinted at Acutint in Montclair this Saturday. It sounds like the dealership there sends tons of G's to his shop, and the guy has a website to refer to: acutint.com.
I will let you know how it goes...

Re: Best Place for Tint in Socal

BoneDaddy,
You are in for a treat my friend, the guy's name is Sarkis and he is an absolute tinting STUD. He does all the G35's for the Montclair dealer, I just had mine done 2 weeks ago, I highly recommend the 18% all the way around, it looks awesome, well balanced and very stealth. When you go there tell him you want the same job as "Jerry" the guy with the black G35 with the body kit that he just did, he will hook it up, enjoy and let me know what you got.

Re: Best Place for Tint in Socal

Dude,
I just had it done and exactly what you suggested, 18% all around. It looks sweet, and the guy gave me a good deal.
I recommend going there if you live in SoCal! The guy does tons of G's!

Re: Best Place for Tint in Socal

Is the tint metalic. I have the navigation and I thought the manual said no metalic tint. I also don't want tint that will discolor in a couple of years. Nothing but the best for my G, but what to do??? What did they charge for 18% all around. Please send me a private email if you don't want to post the price. I live in Irvine, but would be willing to drive to Montclair based on your referrals.

Thanks

Re: Best Place for Tint in Socal

I don't mind telling a fellow G fanatic, the price was $199.00 for the front back and rear windows. The tint he uses, and will ONLY use on the G35 is a hybrid tint from solar-gard. It is part dyed and part metallic, it will not fade and it will not be too shiny looking (not that mirror looking crap). I am working on getting a pic onto the rides section if you want to see what it will look like. Either way chack out acutint.com and see for yourself. Good Luck

Once you own the best, everything else is just the rest...
