Jury Duty @ Norwalk?

I will be starting jury duty at the Norwalk Courthouse on Feb 23. My question is, "Is parking safe enough there to take the G?" I have never served at Norwalk, but I fear leaving my coupe in an unkown environment. I cannot take my wife's Accord, as she is driving hers out of town on a work-related trip that week. Any suggestions or tips?

Mooser, Don't you live in Diamond Bar? What are you serving jury duty out in Norwalk?

I suggest getting out of it. I am adamantely opposed to jury duty. No one truly wants to be there. I sued this lady in for an accident years ago, and this kid had the funniest excuses to get out of serving.

He told the judge: 1. I'm a circus clown, and can't afford to miss work. 2. This guy (meaning me) looks like a guy that used to beat me up in elementary school. 3. Mentioned turrets syndrome and that he may outburst profanities in court.

Yes, I do. Serving really doesn't bother me that much. It's not a big deal. I usually get Pomona or Whittier when my turn comes. I don't know. I guess it's a L.A. County thing, so you are at their liberty.
I was hoping that someone would be familiar with the Norwalk setup, that way I'd know what I'm getting in to. Just a G concern.

I would not take my G. Sprinkler problems. Problems with other cars perhaps dinging your G. However, if you are only woried about theft, there is a police station there(sheriffs I think) so I wouldn't worry about theft or breakins.

Re: Jury Duty @ Norwalk?

I live in West Covina and had to serve for Jury Duty at Norwalk before. Basically the parking structure shares the same building as the AMC Movie theater. There are a lot of parking spaces there since the court house has a separate parking level from the AMC theater (and there are not that many people that watch movies during the day anyways). Well the parking is safe but I can't recall on the spaces if they are wide, all you do is park and take the stairs and cross the crosswalk to the building. I served Jury Duty there about 2 years ago, but was excused.

Finally! Thanks for the info, surewin. That's what I was hoping for, a half way decent "safe" place to park. I told my wife 3 weeks ago that I wanted to trade cars for that week, but she's off to San Luis Obispo for 3 days, at the very same time. And, of course, my G doesn't need those miles if we traded. Thanks again for the info. I owe you a beer!

No problem. You're lucky that you didn't get West Covina. I served there last year, was dismissed again. Well the structure is owned by the city, and shares it with "ride share". I had to park on the street.
