Why so many posts in the "West Forum"?
Why so many posts in the "West Forum"?
Just a silly question but I was looking at the numbers of posts in the other regional forums and (excluding Canada) if you added all the other posts to the other forums together they still wouldn't have as many posts as the West Forum alone.
Just curious as to why. Is the west really as car crazy as it seems? Are there more computer-saavy people out west? Do we just have more time on our hands? We love our cars more because our public transportation isn't as good as back east?
What do you think?

Lots more meets and lots more Gs, I bet. In the Midwest, Northeast, etc. they have rain, snow, and general CRAP most of the year. Cali, NV, AZ, etc. tend to have better weather, so people buy nicer cars cuz they won't end up looking like crap. If you have an SUV in one of these states, though, it's harder to logicallyjustify why you got it over a minivan or a station wagon. Other than looks or snob appeal, which are understood to be the reason Of course this is the general rule-- before someone says "I take mine off-roading!!", just have a cookie and realize you're in the minute section of life that does.

All of the above.
Larger population in general than most areas, so there'd be more G owners here even if the percentages were the same across the country.
Lot's of technology and tech-savvy people.
Higher percentage of people buying more expensive cars than basic transportation.
Bigger concentration of geeks who like to avoid the sun.

Ya definately there are more ppl here in Cali that have money. What other state can have a turnout like this at a general car meet.

Oh, I forgot-- in the West, you have a LOT more people have NO idea how to handle money. That way, you get a lot more sweet-a$$ cars, but no one will own them for too long... they'll all be broke in a few years. Too bad all the tech people are functionally retarded

Yea thats the one. If the weather is clear this sunday I am going. The meet in the pic is the "Celebration of the Enzo" it was held the week before I went. I didnt know about it.
I was told there to have all the G's come out and the Subaru guys are pushing for more ppl on their forums. PLZ try to come out to these meets. It is sooooo much fun.

Well, Im waaaaaaaay the hell out west!! Just say, the farther west you go, the land masses get smaller, but car enthusiasts get larger.
Here in Hawaii, not much for us to do in the matter of driving from state to state. Heavy influence in the market of automobiles. Just they other week, I heard a survey was taken on the island of Oahu, I think??, you'd be very surprised at the ratio of cars to population of people. It was something like 3 cars to 1 person per family household.
