Anybody Know Any Good Attorneys For Speeding...?

Doing some research about my ticket I got on my trip last weekend...looks like I'm in some trouble...does anyone know any attorneys/lawyers that are very good at getting people off speeding tickets...? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

BTW...ticket was 103 in a 70...AND a fix-it ticket for front license plate.

Thanks...

He actually put you down for 103 in a 70! That sucks. Bastard. Well, good news is he didn't take you to jail for the night. What are you looking at, wreckless driving? An attorney should be able to get you out of this in exchange for classes or something if it is your first offense.

Yeah...I was doing some research this morning...it's not wreckless driving, which is nice...but the violation I got [ 22348(b) ] is a violation for 100+ mph and is 2 points (instead of 1 like a normal speeding ticket) against my license...and I already have 1 point against it...so I might lose my license...

YOu can go to traffic school and get a point off if you haven't in the last 18 months. Have you done that in the past year and a half?

Yeah...I'm kind of f**ked there...I had an illegal U-turn ticket which I did traffic school for back in July...I'm really getting screwed on this...or does a U-Turn violation not technically count...? I heard something too that they changed the law to where you can go more than once in 18 months...

Sorry Hosh, that was meant to be funny. It's supposed to come off as cheat-them, do we?, and how. Didn't mean to mislead you in your quest.

You might try Yahoo -> Yellow Pages -> Legal and Financial -> Law Firms. From there, the closest match might be DUI, as they deal with driving related infractions. Best of luck to you.

Wait, if you went to traffic school, the point should have come off. Otherwise, another defense could be the that the radar gun is not accurate enough to measure your speed to excalty 103 and that because of the margin of error, you could have been going less than 100. Seems like a perfect place for a traffic attorney.

Re: Anybody Know Any Good Attorneys For Speeding...?

Tre5...that was pretty funny...just didn't get it as I've been stressing out all morning looking at all these speeding laws, etc.

Stewa...you're completely right...I just realized that since I did go to traffic school, there are no points on my license. And in all the research that I did this morning...I found a story of a guy who got a ticket for 102 and got the fine dropped down to a normal speeding ticket as there was a chance for a "2% error" that the radar gun could've been off. So...I'm hoping with a decent lawyer...at least I could get that charge dropped and get a normal speeding ticket which would be 1 point which I could attend traffic school for (hopefully). And as far as the license plate goes...there's NO WAY I'm drilling holes in my front bumper...I'll find some double sided tape or something to place it there when they inspect it.

Thanks for all the help guys...and I'll keep you all posted on what happens since I have a feeling I'm not going to be the only one getting these kind of tickets in this car

Any more advice would be much appreciated as well.

-Josh

If you live in SoCal, give a call to Mr. Ticket. These ppl are amazing, they got my friends out of everything and I mean everything! From DUIs to 100+ mph speeding tickets to basically nothing....

I don't think the law says anything about the front plate having to be mounted on the bumper. If I'm not mistaken, placing it in the windshield is legal. Of course, going up against a ticket and a judge, I wouldn't be money on what I can remember off the top of my head.
