Damn

They might be right, when I was installing my Injen, it was awfully close to the A/C line. And it actually DID rub for a while.

Try taking it off, putting the stock airbox on and go to another dealer.

Oh man ... that really sux. I'd follow Gurgen's advice and hope the 1st dealer did not enter the information regarding the Injen intake into the computer.

Worse come to worse, find a place that patches aluminum lines cheaply. 700 bux is insane!

Since all dealer service recorders are on the same network ... they'd see the root cause by the Injen intake and could also refuse work under warranty.

Re: Need ADVICE A.S.AP !!

Not neccessary. The worse they can possibly do is 'refuse' work for FREE. I would still pursue it after you replace your OEM intake. Even if you're 'caught' again, be curtious and reasonable with the service rep ... you may be able to sweet talk out of it.

this might sound dumb but did you call the radiator shops ?
they should be able to repair the hole (weld/patch) for a lot less

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. That thing can be cold welded instead of being replaced it should hold up pretty well after that. Are you in Socal? I might be able to refer you to my friend regarding that line if you wanted it replaced instead. Let me know.
