Phoenix Oil Consumption Testing

Have any of you guys w/ Rev-ups had the test done yet? I have an appt to drop my car off at Pinnacle tomorrow afternoon. Anyone have any advice for me. I've read all of the posts on the OC thread, but wondered if anyone had any insider knowledge about the testing procedures of the local dealers...i.e. fudging oil levels, topping off during check-ups, etc...

Ive heard that just keep checking your oil every 1K miles. If it burns more than a quart than you'll get the new motor.

I'd be very hesitant if I were you because of the mods you have listed... Put your car back to stock if you can just to be on the safe side.

I've heard that infiniti of scottsdale is very mod friendly though.

I'm not worried about the mods. They would have to prove that my spacer and intake caused the excessive oil consumption which it didn't and Pinnacle sells a ton of mod stuff as well. That being said, I am putting back on my stock intake with a Z-tube...but not because I'm worried about the test, but because I'm going to sell my Fujita.

And why are you replying to this thread anyway Nino?

Why don't you keep your slushbox auto non-Revup comments to yourself!

Yeah...that's what I thought!

I've heard it both ways when it comes to mods. Some say their dealership was cool, some not. I don't think I'll mess with my spacer unless I think I might be eligible for a new long block. Then I'll take it off. I don't think the service techs would even know what an MREV2 looks like so I'm not gonna mess with that.

You shouldn't have to worry about the mods at all Phil...

If there was any issues, the dealer would have to prove WITHOUTH A DOUBT that the mods you've done is what caused the issue... ( there's a law that states this, but damned if I can remember the name of it )

A plenum spacer will not cause an oil consumption issue so should be no worries...

NOW... I'll go hide in the corner with my slush-box as well....

Jeeze, the only difference between a Non revup and a rev up is only about 3 quarts of oil every 2000 miles.
