Driving L.A. to Tempe, AZ in the G. Tips anyone?

Going to be driving to Tempe, AZ in a couple months to see a concert. I'm coming from Los Angeles and taking my coupe, so it should be an easy drive down the 10-freeway right? Does anyone have any maintenance tips, or other tips to have in mind?

This will be the longest and farthest I've driven...I know, probably not as far as others, but just wanted to get a heads up from my fellow G drivers.

Get the blue tape out, use a radar detector, and watch out for speedcams on the freeways lol. Pretty much 10 all the way. Check your tire pressure, oil, and coolant. Its gonna be hot over there

The blue tape!! lol that's right...almost forgot about that. I don't plan on speeding, whatsoever, even if i'm tempted to lol.
Any good spots to gas up at, or stay at in the Tempe area?

I'm thniking about driving out on a Friday morning and staying a couple nights. We're gonna catch Blink 182 and some other bands play at the Tempe Beach Park. Should be pretty sweet.

my tips because i frequent l.a. quite a bit.

on the way out, stop at tommys burger or somewhere good, because the food here sucks

+1 on checking fluids

+1 on care for your front facia, blue tape is a good thing
dont tail cars, or especially the stupid trucks that always cut into lane 1 and throw off
tire flaps left on the road

my preference...
drive evening coming here, no sun in face, and if you leave 6pm from l.a. you'll be here about midnight

when approaching arizona dont stop at blythe for gas, wait til arizona because pilot and zips is way less money on gas

when leaving back to l.a. leave like 4am and you will also drive smoother and without sun in your face

if you are looking for local crap going on, try the local active z and g forums
google look up z meet and arizona 350z, theres tues, fri and sat g2gs.
