I live in San Francisco and on the way home from Oakland my friend with a CLK 320 wanted to see which car is quicker. The thing was it was 4th of July and I wasn't trying to get caught up with the police so we never went at it. Well anyway he sold the car and we never found out, but I was wonderin' what people on the forum thought who would win?? Both cars are BONE STOCK...

 

Our car can beat the old 430 series. The new CLK 500 series will beat G 0-60 but will even up at the 1/4 mile mark.

To answer your question - the CLK 320 would get dusted, I've read stuff, and the sheer numbers of either car demonstrate the 320 would get caked. Now, a 430 may be a different story - anyone know about the new clk 430? It's got 300HP+!

 

there is no clk430.. only clk320 and clk 500... maybe u meant clk 55?

 

the old 320 would've got dusted. in fact, the g35 coupe can also dust an old clk430 coupe since it's 0-60 times are only 6.5 secs (g35 coupe is 5.5 in car and driver, 5.83 in motor trend, 6.1 in road and track).

the new clk500's 0-60 time is 5.7, about the same as a g35. the clk 55 would destroy us (around 4.5 - 4.7 secs to 60).

I'm pretty sure there is a clk430. But you are correct if you are thinking about the new models. They have discountinued the 430 and up'ed it to the 500. I don't keep track of the Benz world anymore cause
1. I can't afford it anymore.
2. I can't afford one.
