FYI... I had a long conversation with Vincent from iForged/Forgestar at the SEMA show on Friday. The new wheel finish posted above is actually replacing the Titanium finish, which is being discontinued due to inconsistancies in the final color tint on the wheels... Some come out lighter, and some slightly darker. It sounds like they will still do the Titanium finish for wheels already on order, but that will be it. There was a mustang there with the F14's in titanium finish and they were so light they basically looked like a standard siver powder-coat... nothing like the pic of the Audi S5 on their website... I may end up changing mine to the gunmetal finish just to be safe. There were also several other cars at the show with F14's on them, including the new 20" sizes. Vincent tells me that they received the 20" spool pieces and started production on them 2 weeks ago. SEMA cars got priority, but starting this week all other backorders should be in production. I'm gonna try and stop over there tomorrow and see the progress on mine!

The new finish is a brushed metal finish with a clear coat... Vincent didn't specifiy the exact name when we were talking, but it looked pretty cool if you like the brushed metal look. Myself, I'm looking for something a little darker to contrast the IP paint on my car, but I'm not sure that I want anything as dark as the gunmetal. The problem with the Titanium is that it's a too step process on the powder-coating and the company that does it for them can't get the consistancy down. Vincent said he could try and have them do mine a little darker, but he can't gaurantee how they'll turn out. I may give the Titanium a show and if they don't turn out to my liking, just have them stripped and redone in gunmetal. FYI.. They did have an EVO in their booth with the new gold finish and it looked absolutely awesome on that car... I just think our G's are a little too classy for gold wheels.

Interesting... maybe I'll just stick with the Titaniums and hope for the best. Irregardless, since im rocking an OB, contrast wont be an issue for me. Guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

Oh yes, those Gold F14's on the evo is VERY nice.

I agree with your thoughts.

^ If you do stick with the Titanium finish, then you will be one of the select few that will be rockin' 20" F14's in the Titanium finish!

Oh man.. there are inconsistencies with the Titanium finish? I hope mine turn out like that one white A5 or black S5.
