Cool Budget baller tire options

So I'm new to the forum with a used 05 and my tires are feathered as heck in the front and bald in the rear. I sound like a spaceship when I come to a stop. So I've been looking into some cost effective tires for daily and then I'll probably pick up some 18s later on for autox or fun drives. Any rate, the options are listed in the poll, if you recommend other please specify. Btw, I talked toa discount tire guy today and he recommened highly against doing 245/40/19 f and 235/40/19 r, oddly he did say I could do 245/35 f and 275/35 r?? What are you guys running on the oem rims?

both those are going to be too short compared to stock diameter, the correct sizes for a 35 side wall are 245/275

I went from Toyo T1-S tires to the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires. The toyo were horribly loud around cruising speeds (40-50mph). When I changed to the Goodyears, my car sounds like I'm driving a Lexus now....OK, not a Lexus, but the Goodyears are quiet!

RESERVE STRENGTH [load index] is much more signficant than SIZE.

You should do 245/35/19 f & 255/40/19 r. I currently have 245/35/19 f & 245/40/19 r. I wish I'd gone a little wider on the rear. 255/40/19 is maximum recommended tire size on 8.5" wide rim.

So you're saying its ok to do 245/35 front and 275/35 rear so the overall diameter is still the same? Isn't 275 too wide for a 8.5in tire? I'm looking into Nitto NT NeoGen ZR anyone run these before?

Hey, did you ever run the Potenza REO50's? If so, how do the F1's compare?

Thanks. I'm looking for replacements of my stock Bridgestone REO50's and REALLY want something quieter, but with good performance.

I run the RE050 A's which are a bit different than the REO50's and i personally liked the Eagle F1 GS D3's i had on my 18's better. I think the potenzas are stickier but the F1's were much better in rain and were quieter, not to mention they arent asymmetrical so you can actually rotate them.
