wheel cleaning products

Re: wheel cleaning products
Wheel cleaning products work well, but after time, they can do damage to the wheels. Especially clear coated wheels. Whatever you do, don't use a wheel brush. These are tough on the wheel finishes, and put scratches in as well. I use a seperate bucket of soap and water and mit to wash the wheels. I wax them just like the car. This repells brake dust and helps protect the wheels. I use something called Wheel Wax. It works well, but I am not sure if I will reorder when I am done. I will probably just zaino them like the rest of the car.

Re: wheel cleaning products
i've only used my g for pleasure driving. it seems every two or three outings (i only have 180 miles) i wipe wheels. now i use two wheel wipes of some sort and two paper towels. i will try the 409 or even glass plus.

Re: wheel cleaning products
I can't find it now, but I'm pretty sure there was a TSB about using the right cleaner for the right wheels. Using the wrong one can damage the finish. Use alloy for alloy, chrome for chrome, etc.
