OEM Wheels

So I am getting my car detailed at the moment, and the guy was telling me about how Infiniti makes their wheels, that have a paint on the top layer, btw its a 2003 Coupe, He said but they didnt make the paint strong enough to withstand the heat of the brakes, so the paint is coming off. He said this could be under warranty, has anyone got this fixed by infiniti? or do you know if its under warranty?

Infiniti would have their wheels made by another wheel manufacturer. I've not heard of or experienced the finish being compromised by heat from the brakes. How does your detailer know this?

Your best bet is to let your dealer have a look at your wheels.

He said he has dealt with many Infiniti's and he has seen it. He showed me where it was. There is no way its curb rash or anything, because it is in the inside. I will take a picture of it
