I'm looking to buy a set of 17"s that will clear the Brembos on my '04 Coupe. I've searched extensively on the board but I couldn't find a specific answer as to what tire and rim size/combination will fit over my brakes. With winter coming up in a few, I plan to buy a new set of rims and snow tires to slap on.

I'm not very familiar with wheels but I've definitely learned a lot scanning the threads I went through. I want to know specifically how I can determine whether a rim will fit over my larger brakes by only looking at a rim's specs without relying on word of mouth on whether Rim X, Y, or Z fits or not. Can anyone help me with this?

Do coupe 17's fit? That would probably be your cheapest option, not sure if though, can someone confirm?

 

I have these, and no problem clearing Brembos. They are MilleMiglia HT3s also available at tirerack.com.
