Does anyone use anything else besides soap and water to clean their wheels? My Lexions had chrome lips and were easy to clean. My Work wheels have anodized lips and it is not as easy. I am paranoid to use anything but soap and water but it doesn't seem to be completely cleaning them.

Soap & water is the best solution, i specificly use Zaino car wash just to clean my work wheels and it looks perfect.

Normally soap and water, but on the occasions where they are extra dirty, then I use detailing dynamics wheel shampoo. It is safe for annodized wheels. Just don't let soap or any other chemicals DRY on the wheels or begin cleaning wheels that haven't cooled off all the way!

I hear Eagle 1 all wheel cleaner works well and is safe on anodized surfaces. Just like others said, don't work on a hot wheel and NEVER let product dry. I would personally wash with soap and water first, then spot clean with a wheel cleaner.

hexx... ask sen_jen... he clays his lip and uses wheels was on the face... im not sure if he uses it on the lips though

what color is the lip anodized on your work wheels.

correct. you treat it exactly like the exterior body panels of your car. the VS-XX's are anodized clear coated lips, and base coat clear coat centers. don't use any specialized wheel cleaners on them though. soap and water is the best. if there are areas/spots that can't come off, proceed with a very subtle scratch remover such as meguiars scratch x. you can apply wax to them, just remember that you'll need to completely strip it every now and then, just like the body of your car. you don't want to just add, and add wax allowing buildup. soft sponges, wash cloths, and microfiber clothes are ideal as well.

i know this might be considered a "special" cleaner but can i use a glass cleaner? ive used glass cleaners (windex) on my old wheels and this works great for them!

i put poorboys wheels sealent on once a month. u say you have to strip the wax here and there dont let it build up, what would i use to strip it??

^^^No!!! Keep those chemicals off of your wheels bro. The guys at Status said strictly us mild soap and water only.
