got my SPRINT springs in the mail
ok guys got my Sprint springs today and will get them installed next sat by a buddy of mine whos a master mechanic at volvo and will do it on the side. my question is i want to pay the guy but was wondering what the going price for spring installation cost. i will take that price and prob cut it in half anyway i figure 100 bucs is more than enough since he said hed do it for free but still would like to know how much they charge for our car. second question i will be getting the rear camber kit in a couple of weeks and was wondering if it matters that i have the job done in separate times or should i have the job all done at once. in other words will tiume be wasrted or does one not interfere with the other? and lastly how long should the job take for all 4 springs only? thanks

Re: got my SPRINT springs in the mail
The going price for a spring install here in the NYC / Long Island area is anywhere from $250 to $400. It all comes down to how much work is involed as some cars are a little more tricky than others. Luck for us, the G is a pretty straight fwd install. No surprises. I installed my springs myself in about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. A shop may be able to do it faster, I don't know?
You can install the camber kit later, that's not a problem. Just make sure you dont get the car aligned till you get the camber kit on, as if you do, you'll need another one once you get the kit on. If all goes well, after you get the kit installed, you'll probably think you don't need an alignment, as the car will drive and feel fine, but trust me! You need one!
Good luck and be sure to post some pics up here when you're done!

Here is S. Cali it's pretty cheap to get them installed. It only cost me 80 bucks and the rear are very easy to change out also compared to other models of cars.

Ducati,
Were you able to do it in your garage? Or did you need lift access?
Mind pointing out the big picture procedure? Did you need spring compressors?
Just trying to figure out what I need when I start.
Thanks ahead of time.

You can do it in A Garage, A Floor jack And some Jack stands are necessary. A Good Socket set and Breaker bar. Oh and A torque wrench also. A spring compressor Is Needed for the Front Springs. Other than that it's Really easy. Good Luck....
