need your help on tire and rim sizes..

I tried to seach it..but either it didn't give me anything
or was just giving me 100000 different threads..
anyways,,
I'm trying to get new shoes for my 06 DG coupe..
just wondering what are my options as far as sizes..
I'm trying to go with either 19 or 20s..(I currently have stock 19)
and I wanna have a wide rear tire..

-please let me know the sizes that will go fine and not
affect the performance..
-and whether I'll have to roll my fender or not..
-and if I go off set/how much..what will be the difference?

haven't fully understand the concept of being off set...sorry

I'll also appreciate if you can give me any links to this matter..
thanks

gets 19s. IMO 20s are over the top for the g

im getting 9.5/10.5 with 255/35 and 275/35

i could have gotten 285/35 in the rear (i would definitely rub) so i would have to shave my fenders

as for offsets, what ive understood is the lower the offset the more aggressive it will look. ive seen +17/+18 offsets and they were amazing. im getting +23 all around and am very happy with that.

do you have any particular wheels in mind? that would help..

so the greater the number of off set..
the more aggressive it looks..right?
does that mean that it will be wider?
and..I was thinking of Volks GT-S or SF Challenge

the lower the offset the more aggressive

offsets in the 30s are weak. lower 20s..good

in the teens..great (IMO)

Basically offset is the distance between the hub mounting face and the wheel centerline. For a picture and a more detailed description follow the link below.

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/...jsp?techid=101

The amount of offset does not have to affect the look of the wheel, but many wheel manufacturers do change the look of the wheel to obtain the desired offset. Offset is important to vehicle handling. Typically, to have the least affect on handling when changing rim widths, you would make sure that the track width (distance between the center of the left and right rim) remains the same and calculate the needed offset from that and the distance between the left and right hubs. This is probably way more of an explanation than you wanted, but I hope it helps.

Only certain rims can get away with having such low offsets. Most rims won't clear the caliper w/ such low offsets. (below 20)

the 17" and 18" combo must have been the famous volk gts(challege look alike)

also lower the offset bigger the lip. lipsize also depends on wheel construction. there are some with 25 offset with no lip i think it's the progessivME(volk)
i have 275 on my g with a 10.5 width. i could put some 295 on there to get a non stetched look(pilot sports) and not rub. and my car is not lowered

What offset are you running?

I would like to run 19x10.5 with 295, the offset the shop here has in stock is a +18 and they stick out way to far.

I am more interested in a non-stretched look and a wide tire than a wide lip.
