Re: Followup

Glad to hear that you got your check. I just wish Infiniti could be more consistent in the way they do things. Still no satisfaction for me. But I will try the email thing. Can you please post the email address?? Thanks for your help!

Re: Followup

Believe it or not, I literally just went to www.infiniti.com and clicked on 'contact us' Then I filled out their form.
here's the link. http://www.infiniti.com/form/global/...on/0,,,00.html

I didn't expect anything from the email, I just wanted to tell them I was a little dissastified with the rate of brake wear and cost of ownership.
Couple of days later, I get a phone call from them.

Good luck to you in getting a rebate! I am dissapointed with them too in terms of consistancy and making this sort of thing well known to their dealers because I tried to resolve this matter first at my dealership and they wouldn't budge.

Okay, after looking at the contact page again, I see where you can email them, I was looking in the wrong place! Well, If Infiniti doesn't see brake issue as a big thing, they better think again, that could turn a lot of buyers away in the future! I asked at my dealer about it, and they seemed to "brag" about that, brake wear being a sign of "very good brakes", geez! Glad to see it worked out for you!

This is true.. I had my front brakes and pads replaced by my dealership at no cost. I think Infinity is still getting the 3year/36,000 warranty on brakes out to all dealers. Call Infinity about this.

How long ago was this? How many miles did you have on yours?

Re: Followup

i just got my brakes and rotors resurfaced for free. i have about12k on my car. i was complaining about how my brakes made a loud noise when i reverse and my service lady told me to call ica. after i called them the next day they told me to bring my car in and they would replace my pads and everything. i was pleased on how fast everything went.

Re: Followup

I called infiniti consumer affairs and they claim letters are going out in a few weeks to all owners giving notice of the 3y/36k brake warranty. The dealers will deny knowledge of this for as long as possible, because infiniti just took their big moneymaker away from them for three years. Dealers get screwed on warranty work...which is why they always try to void your warranty on modded rides.

Re: Followup

I hope they send those letters, that is wrong that the brakes wear out so soon, hope they refund all you guys who have already had it done! Also hope that what they replace them with is a longer wearing pad!

Re: Brakes and Good News?

If you read this letter, I believe it says sedan's and coupes with the AT, so that sounds like ALL sedans and coupes without Brembo brakes, if I understand this right.

Re: Brakes and Good News?

Correct. They are doing this for non-Brembo cars.

Re: Brakes and Good News?

Took my 5AT Sedan into Miller Infiniti this morning to get a couple of rattles fixed. The service writer said they would replace the brakes and rotors if necessary under a new 3yr/36k warranty. Note that he volunteered this info without me asking.
