Got my Volks and Tein Suspension Pics

Hey guys and girls, I got my rims, suspension and HKS exhaust today.
The ims are Volk GT-7 Gunmetal 19x8.5 in front and 19x9.5 in the rear. I used the Tein Coil overs Type Basic, to lower the car and installed the HKS Sport exhaust. Everything is working great and no rubbing. Ride is a hair stiffer, but I think it's the tires more than the suspension. Take a look

Re: Got my Volks and Tein Suspension Pics

Hey Us_SKyline, what's the sound of the HKS exhaust sounds like? I'm thinking of getting one for my G. Oh, and what's the cost on that? I hope it's not too loud, just a little roar is fine. I don't want it to sound like those Civics out there!

Re: Got my Volks and Tein Suspension Pics

Thanks everyone for the nice coments.
As for the exhaust, I was really concerned that it would sound "ricer", but it is killer. It has a deeper sound to it, but it is not much louder. If you are looking for a conservative exhaust, this is it, I couldn't be more happier with it.

Re: Got my Volks and Tein Suspension Pics

Rims look great, whole car looks awesome.

I've got a question for you on the Basic's. How much of coilover adjustment did you use to get your drop?
The reason I'm asking is because Tein told me that the basics would automatically drop a Z one inch in the front and .8" in the rear. That would mean a sedan would drop 2" front and rear. But I want to hear from you, could you raise the car up more if you wanted to?

Also, a few of us have been waiting for another G35 owner to get the basics. Please, after you have driven on them for a couple hundred miles, please come back and report on how the basics ride and drive quality is.

Very nice indeed. I like. What's the offset on your wheels? +45 front and back? ... and what are your tire specs (width and aspect ratio).

As to the ride quality, are you coming from the *sport* suspension?

Re: Got my Volks and Tein Suspension Pics

I had the suspension installed for me and I just told them were I wanted it. The guy said I had plenty of room to go up or down. I know this may sound lame, but I haven't even really looked at everything...been to busy to just sit down and look..LOL
As far as ride, it's hard to tell so far. It definatley feels firmer, but the tires being so "low pro" really make me feel the bumps etc. I still have my stock tires at the shop, I hope to put them on and see what the suspension feels like. I'll keep you posted

Re: Got my Volks and Tein Suspension Pics

I got my exhaust from Autolink Motorworks. it is just the muffler itself. Autolink sponsors my other car and thus they hook me up on prices. If you are really interested, send me a message and I'll hook you up with my buddy, it won't be my cost, but he will give you the best deal around.

Re: Got my Volks and Tein Suspension Pics

the front is a +46 offset 19x8.5 235/30/19 while the rears are +40 19x9.5 265/30/19. I got them through Autolink Motorworks in Temple City.
I had the "standard" suspension on my G

Bear with me, I'm totally new to the G35, I just new what wanted it to look like and luckily I have some good friends in the industry that help me get what I wanted...beside I'm used to Hondas LOL
