Anyone thought of this idea?

In the coupe, the wheels is 225 in front 245 in back right?
This setting produces a minor understeer. Have anybody thought about switching them around?? I saw many aftermarket tuners in Japan like to use wider tires in front to reduce understeer or even create a slight OVERSTEER for drifitng. Anyone?

Even if you were to do that you cant with the stock tires/rims, the rear ones have a larger diameter.

Oops, I just checked and I found out that I miss lead people. The sizes are the other way around. Nevermind!

Stock 18s are 8" wide all the way around. The rear wheels wont mount in the front however, because of a protruding pin on the base of the front disks that the front wheel accomodates. The 17" wheels are 7.5" front and 8" rear.

BTW, you don't want to do a front/rear reverse anyway. You'd upset the stagger big time, and cause evil handling and VDC operation.

rear rims will fit on the front. Just remove that screw on the front rotor. I forget what size socket to use 10 or 12, but it comes out very easy. It's only about 2 threads deep.

I had to remove those bolts when I put my 20's on.

I never said that you couldn't remove it, all I said was that it was there and what the purpose was: To prevent people from doing something stupid. BTW, My Nismos work the same way. Fronts will mount due to the spacing, rears wont mount in front with the pin.
