I'm sure, 'cause when I put mine back on this spring, the system recognized them immediately.

The service manual generally describes what you have to do, but not what you don't have to do.

are the TPMS worth some money? I now have 2005 19s on my 2003 coupe, so I could sell the sensors if they pop off easily. Or are they built in like valve stems?

Moe, your rims will look like crap if you take out the sensors...the sensors why the valve stems are metal instead of cheap black plastic. Besides, with the low profile of the 19" OEMs, it's good to have TPS. They're about $80-$100 each to replace.

I didn't see an answer to this question...
isn't this a problem with the TPMS?, the light should come on...

It's hit or miss. I mean, it USUALLY comes on after I drive my usual 50+ mile commute, but if it doesn't come on, it's nothing to worry about. All the light indicates is that you have low tire pressure. But the truth of it is, if you don't have the TPS installed, it's just a false indicator and should be ignored.

Either way, if it comes on, or stays off, just ignore it all together if you don't have the TPS installed.
