I plan on purchasing
Wheels - Volk GT-c 19x8.5 front
19x9.5rear
tires - Potenza SO3 245/35/19
245/35/19
If i make this upgrade to my 6mt coupe will i have a problem fitting my brembos? Does anyone have any idea of how much gap there will be between the tires and wheel well? Also by making this trade will i pretty much be eliminating any additional suspension work? I would love for my car to drive better with some suspension kit or spring kit of some kind. But typically they lower your car, what would happen to my car in this case? Is it not possible? Should i just upgrade my suspension then wait and do my wheels/tires later?
Thanks
Marcel

Re: Advise please
I am a little confused why you are getting 19x9.5 rear without getting a wider tire. You are not going to be able to rotate anyway w/o remounting & balancing. so what is the advantage.
If you want 9.5 in the rear might as well go 265 or 275... or just go 19x8.5 all the way around, some guys have done that, but I prefer the wider stance in the back.

Marcel,
If you are planning on upgrading your wheels, you will need to pay particular attention to the offset and wheel design that will allow caliper clearance. I would suggest getting a set that have been tested for 6MT. I am not to sure about Volks.

Re: Advise please
Marc,
TRUST ME...... do not go freaking 245/35/19 on the rear..... it will look very retarded. I drove around w/ 245/35/20 on my rear for like 2 weeks, and I was embarrassed and ashamed. I just saw a black coupe on Saturday nite at dinner w/ 19 and all the same size, it looked horrible........Please put something like 275/35/19 or 285/30/19 or whatever similar to those. With 19's you will have to lower the car..... the gap is severe.... it barely tolerable with 20's. Do not have the same size all the way around. I now have 2 spares for my fronts after I dropped close to 7 bills for 2 new rear tires....... This car really needs to go with staggered stance. I would even go 10 inch wide on the rear and 9 inch in the front........ hope I was helpful....

19x10 rear
Potenza SO3'S 245 or 255/35/19 front
