Angry Dealer scraped my brand new Volk GTS wheels

I brought my G to the dealer to get an oil change and this is what I see after I pick up the car. It even pierced the sidewall:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/drew313/304070082/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://static.flickr.com/116/304070082_7adff94347_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="Volk GTS Scrape" /></a>

I even made the service advisor do a walk-through around the car before I left to note that there was no damage at all. I was in a hurry when I came to pick it up so I didn't look at them closely. After I got off work I noticed the scrape and went back to the dealer. The service manager was already gone but one of the advisors told me that since you already drove it off the lot, we can't take any responsibility for it. I have to wait until Fri to speak with the manager.

Do you think they'll replace the rim? I just got these wheels less than a week ago. I thought I read somewhere that Volk uses a special anodized clearcoat so wheel repair shops won't be able to match it exactly as it was before. Any suggestions what I should do?

Ouch!!
Hate to say it, but the dealer has a point that you showed this damage after driving away and coming back later.
Hopefully they'll fess up and take care of it, but don't be surprised if they don't. Depends on the Dealer and what past relationship, if any, you have with them.
Live and learn I guess. No matter how much in a rush, do that walk around when you pick it up, especially since you did that when you left it.

Which dealership did you go to? You're in Irvine, so my guess is either Costa Mesa or Tustin....?

I just went to the dealership yesterday at South Bay Infiniti to do oil change, feul hose recall, replace window motor, fix clicking sound in axels, and absolutely NO DAMAGE to my volks. They really took good care of my car, i told them to please take care of my wheels cause they have no damage, and he said don't worry, we'll take real good care of your Volks. I was surprised he already knew what kind of wheels i had!!

they curbed the front too!

I washed my car this morning and noticed that they curbed the front wheel on the same side too. Do they purposely curb brand new aftermarket wheels or something? They never did that to any of my OEM wheels before!

That sucks. They are more than likely going to give you every excuse in the book and offer you a free oil change instead of a replacement.

a sales guy at southbay backed into my car. lucky it didnt damage my impul front. sales guy was kinda rude about it, but later apologized. their service department has yet to ding up my car after 2 trips in.

still, i ALWAYS check my entire car before i take the keys back. LEARN THE LESSON PEOPLE!
