Buying wheels/tires online

If you bought your wheels/tires online where did you get them from?

TireRack.com

But that was back in the day when I was driving my Ford Probe (may it rest in peace). The selection is lacking for the G-Coupe, Last time I checked there were 4 sets and one of them was for snow. I'd like to hear some site too.

I bought Avon Tech MS550 all season tires for my 03 sedan from tire rack. I had them shipped to the dealer and mounted and balanced. So far so good after 2500 miles. They are much better in rain than the stock Turanzas they replaced.

www.discounttiredirect.com

Just as good as Tire Rack.

an FYI... I use Discount Tire mainly because they don't have a warehouse in my state where as Tire Rack does. This means I can avoid the taxes (initially, of course). When tax time rolls around I inform my state of all items bought online and pay a one lump sum

I am also trying to find some online sponsors that may be able to provide tires at comparable prices.

Check the marketplace for wheel offers from site sponsors.

but dont discounttires charge for the lugs or something?
i remember seeing some "installation kit" or something...

tirerack will give you high quality lugs for free along with
centering rings, high quality metal valve stems, caps,
lug adapters, perfect balance each time, and a piece of mind.

good luck to you if you plan to buy from there. if you buy
like the Enkei's PIAA's and other higher end wheels, im sure
you'll be fine though...its when you buy pos wheels like ADR, etc.
you tend to get a bad wheel of wobbly poor balance, etc.

Bought Enkei RP02's from EdgeRacing back when they were $500/set. No issues.

Bought Volk sf-challenge's from F1. One wheel was damaged in shipment but Chris was prompt about shipping a replacement. Good service.

Tires from Tirerack. RE050A's were on closeout. $141 for 245/35R19's. No issues.
