I have the Tein Basic Coilovers set up on my 04 Sedan and I was wondering if anybody just has the Spings want to know how they ride.

Re: Tein

Kinda strange why your asking, you've got to be unhappy with your ride quality or you not able to raise your the basics up enough to have the ground clearence you need or is their some other reason your asking after having just laid down $900 some on the basics?

Curious as to know how much lower you set you basics up to drop? And how much higher could you raise them if you tried?

They are going to be night and day different. The springs are progressive and use really weak rear rates and are allot softer overall vs the basics.

Your basics use spring rates that are 504lbs front and rear. The stock sport suspension uses 357lbs front and 407lbs rear.
The Tein H.Tech springs use 324lbs front and 263lbs rear and drop the sedan 1.4" in the front and 0.7" in the rear
The Tein S.Tech springs use 358lbs front and 274lbs rear and drop the sedan 2" in the fornt and 1.3" in the rear.

The basics use linear springs and don't give you understeer enhancing weak rear spring rates that their stand alone springs do.
