Re: Brake Service covered!

There are aftermarket choices, such as EBC Greenstuff pads, for the Brembo's. You don't have to get Brembo-brand pads. There are lots of choices, and if you don't run your car on a racetrack, some of those choices are better suited than the Brembo pads. If you do run on a racetrack, there are other track pad options.

Re: Brake Service covered!

SO what's the deal with Sedan 6MT's I don't think I have Brembo's (how can I tell, I know what the 350z one's look like, and mine don't look anything like that). If I have the standard brakes, I'm not covered?

Re: Brake Service covered!

Sedans do not have Brembos. You're covered. This covers only the standard brakes, and does not cover the Brembos. The 6MT coupe has Brembos with gold colored calipers that have a red Brembo logo on them.

The official wording in the letter is "2003 and 2004 G35 sedans and automatic transmission equipped coupes."

Re: Brake Service covered!

The only negative is you have to pay about $45 to figure out if you need a brake job. I guess I'll wait until 35,000 miles, and take it in to get my brakes changed.

Are you sure about that $45? The letter almost makes it sound like even that is covered.

Re: Brake Service covered!

You shouldn't have to pay $45. Just tell them your brakes are squeeking/squealing. (Which they will be when you need service.)

Diagnosing a problem for a car under warranty shouldn't cost a dime. However, if the problem is not warranty related, you'll have to pay to actually have it fixed. Or you can just take it home as-is for free.
