painted calipers

i have a 6mt coupe, and wanted to paint the gold calipers red..since the stock ones are powdercoated, how do i get that off so i can repaint them? Any help would be great. Thanks.

I bought a caliper kit on eBay which came with a brush, paint, reactor and a spraying can to clean the calipers. I only used the kit and I was happy with the outcome, heres a pic
