I'm picking up my set with the same offsets from Status this week. I have the stock brembos and was told that only a 3mm spacer will be needed to clear. I don't remember if they said for the front or back, but 3mm is not bad at all and you won't need extended studs or anything like that.

so what? unless you have the same brakes and have work vs-xx wheels your offsets don't matter....

You don't have to rip my head off. From what I've seen and have been told, all of Work's 2 and 3 piece rims are designed the same way, hence their standardization on 0-Disc, R-Disc, and A-Disc layouts. I even remember the docs on their corp web page explaining this, and saying it wasn't specific to a particular line of Work Wheels. And my Work wheels are also R-disc on front and O-disc on back, and I bought these wheels with the intention of installing a BBK, which is why I asked so many questions when I bought them.

I was just giving my point of view, as everyone I know with Work wheels have offsets between 18 and 25, so 28 and 29 just seemed off. In fact when I bought my wheels, the wheel shop even told me that when I get Work R-Disc and O-Disc with the O-discs being 1" wider, the offset should be 5mm less then the R-disc, which is why I have 25 and 20, which means if the fronts are +28 and clear, the rears should be +23, not +29. The rim shop told me if I got Rdisc and Odisc with the same offsets, he couldn't gaurantee they would work.

sorry, didnt mean to be an @$$ about it.

but everyone i know with 19" work vs-xx wheels have offsets of 28 and higher (except myself and mizter_g). a +28 to the low +30s is most common and seems normal for these wheels.

anyway, from what i understand, offsets arent the only thing that matter. it's the spoke design as well (how far they do or do not come out, etc)

its definitely for the rear, but the clearance on the front caliper is making me uncomfortable as well, it is probably about 1 mm between the caliper and spokes

I got my wheels put on today and they put a 3mm spacer in the back and it clears the brembos about 2.5mm, which is fine. But as you know, the front clearance is only about 1mm from the brembos. I was uncomfortable as well, but they said it would be fine and that it would never hit, but when I got home, my calipers were scraped on both sides!! I don't know what to do..probably ask the shop to touch up my brembo calipers...

Your OFFSETS are fine !!!! Its the R disc and O disc that is killing on fitment I believe . Offset doesnt have any thing to do with if they will fit big brake kits . If Im wrong correct me here PLEASE !
I know little on it , but from what Ive read . The offsets just move where the hub is centered in the wheel . A less offset say +20 will sick out further than an offset of + 30 . A + 30 offset is , or is near what our cars come with stock .
And it may not even be the O or R disc . It maybe just the way the wheel is made , the design of it .
Status shouldnt have sold you the wheels if they didnt fit . Even if Im totally wrong on why they dont fit . I wouldnt spend $1000 to $4000 for rims and have to run spaacers to get them to fit .

you are absolutly right, the number doesnt mean jack ****e unless we are talking about the exact same wheel. I could probably find a set of Volk wheels with that offset and it would clear perfectly, its all in the spoke design and lip of the wheel

Offset!

Last 2 post are correct, the design of the wheel is what will determine Brembo clearance not the offset so much.Offset only determines how far out or in from the center of the wheel the hub is. Meaning a plus offset means the hub is closer to the face of the rim farther from the center, and a negative offset is how far in the hub is from the center. So think about it no matter where the hub is located, its always next to the rotor. Correct?
