Re: Sedan Wheel Fitment Chart
THX,
These are truly awesome diagrams. I wish I had the time to do something like this. Thanks so much!
A question -- I haven't been under the front of my G much in the last few days, and it's dark now. Z33 suspension should work, and I have my eyes on a particular set of coilovers for it -- however, won't coilovers reduce (by 10mm or more) the available room for a wheel and tire in the front of the car? I know the front is not MacPherson but I can't really remember what it looks like under there.

RE: offset change from camber
Does the number you calculated for the "Virtual" offset change from camber (as seen by the fender) hold exactly true for the suspension?
I.e. if you "gain" +10ET from the camber change at the fender, do you lose the whole +10 from the clearance at the inboard suspension?

Thank God no! The damper is located behind the suspension arm (the limiting factor). You'll be ok.

Yes it does, but to a slightly lesser degree. You should be noted, the front suspension cut-off line I made may be a bit conservative. There's acutally little more room than what it shows. When I have time, I will go back and make a more accurate measurement.

Re: Sedan Wheel Fitment Chart
thanks for the help.
I'm going for the crazy VIP look -- mega huge monoblock chunk rims and super stretch tires. I'm thinking:
19x8.5J +40 F with a 215, 225, or 235 tire
19x10J +55 R with a 245 or something
I'd really like to be able to figure out how to fit a 10.5 or even an 11 in the rear, and a 9 in the front. Tha'd just be so sick. But I don't think a 9 in the front is happening.
Then all I need is body kits

Re: Sedan Wheel Fitment Chart
I see your gong for the Shaq-daddy Superman Look!
You can fit 245s up front no problem if the offset is correct. As for the rear, the 245s will look hideous IMHO on 10" wide rims. 10" can easily accomodate 275s and higher. You do want the VIP look don't you? Heh heh.
Also keep in mind, it will take a combination of ride height and camber to achieve the perfect look. If you don't plan on lowering the car, the above setup will stick out pretty badly looking nasty.

Re: Sedan Wheel Fitment Chart
Well, I'm judging most of what I'm thinking about tire-wise on this mag that I have sitting here.
People are running 275 tires on *12J* rims. A 245 on a 10J should be just about right =) There's a picture of a GS300 (Aristo) in this mag with 245 on 10J and it looks about right.
I suppose I could run the 275 on the 10J, but do you think it will stretch enough? 275 is more like what you'd put on an 11J.
My friend used to run 215s on 9J -- that's the super style!
I suppose the profile of the tire has a lot to do with it as well.

Re: Sedan Wheel Fitment Chart
THX723,
How did you determine the spacing between the inside of the wheel and the suspension components?
Thanks,

Re: Sedan Wheel Fitment Chart
... by fitting a piece of widget between the wheel and the suspension then measure its length.
If I find some time, I will go back and make more accurate measurement by pulling the wheel off.

I, as all of us, would love to see some detailed pics of htat setup. If this is true, then it would be great. THe negative camber makes a big difference I guess. Please post pics
