Continental ContiSportContact 3's....looked like a pretty solid tire and at $1090 installed its really not much more expensive than if I did OEM replacements.

what about using 245/40/19's all the way around? i think that gives you a few more tire choices.

I am no pro, but I think I remember reading somewhere that going with same size all around will screw up the VDC. Makes sense since VDC was programmed on a staggered set up.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong though.

With respects actual brands, I think Michelin PS2 are highest rated, but also most expensive. Toyo T1R get great reviews, not to mention easier on the wallet.

I'm no expert on these matters, but I believe that will create problems with your VDC or Tire Pressure Sensor since the car is designed to have some stagger.

what are you all paying for the replacement tires? and is everyone changing them all at once, or just the rears since they're the first to go. i'm approaching 19k on my stockers, so i need help too.

It seems like we have a lot of tire experts in this thread. My suggestion, go take a trip to your nearest track and ask some of the drivers. I bet they tell you "put the biggest tires you can on your rim." And these are guys pushing their cars way beyond what 99% us would ever dare.

It's like the spacer myth. "The studs are going to break" or "your wheel will fly off". Then why does StopTech require spacers on most of its big brake kits? That company knows its kits are used in racing applications.

Personally, I have not seen a thread or heard of a single person having their VDC or anti-locks screwed up by tire size. Keep in mind, there are some wild wheel tire combinations on this board.

I am running 265/35/19 on stock rims. The tires are wearing even, my ADC (when I dont turn it off) works fine, and I drive the **** out of my G.

I put 245/35 & 275/35 Toyos on my stock 19s but my 15mm& 20mm spacers had to go.
The 15mm would work on the rear with a slight rolling of the fenders (my car is lowered with camber kit, otherwise I think 15mm would work). I'm probably going to go with 5mm & 10mm. I'm waiting on an order for 10mm Kics as their the only ones I found that have the studs mounted on the spacer with that thickness (if you know of any others, let me know).
I'm going to put them on the front and drive around a bit to see if they rub. If not, I'll roll my rear fenders and go 10mm & 15mm.

I'm thinking of going with the 245/265 setup. Can anyone who has this tell me their experience?

Great fitment, plenty of curb protection. Car rides great, grips great. Ended up with Continental ContisportContact 2's.

I'm looking at a set of Goodyear Eagle F1, any opinions on running 235/35/19 and 255/35/19?

I wouldn't run those sizes. Run 245/35/19, and 245/40/19 or 255/40/19. Both rears will work fine with VDC, and are within Tire Manufacturers Specs. I believe that a 265/35/19 rear would also work just fine on your factory 8.5" 19s, but they are outside of any Tire Manufacturers Specs.
