245/45or50's on stock sedan rims? Who has em?

I am looking for tires now. I would feel fine sticking 235/50/17's on the car but there is only two choices there for me: Pilot Sport A/S's (200 each) or the Kumho KH11's (cheap but grand touring not performance)

In the 245/45/17 and 245/50/17 sizes there are alot of good choices for reasonable money (around 115-130 each)

If anyone has put either size up there on their stock sedans own up and let me know if you saw any rubbing on the front suspension arms.

Please help.

235/45 and 245/45 require 7.5" wide rims, if I'm not mistaken, and our stock rims are only 7" wide. You can get Bridgestone Potenza S03 Pole Position's or Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's in 225/55R17, and it's only 1.6% off (about 1mph at 60).

I am not looking for what is "required" or "recommended", I am looking for what will "fit". There are some nice tires in the 245/45/17 size that I know for a fact will fit these rims. The only question I have is if it will clear the upper arm on the front suspension.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but I have 17x8 rims with 255/45/17's, lowered and absolutely no rubbing anywhere.

Hope that helps.
