19" Coupe Wheels & Sedan, Fender Rolling/Shaving
Ok so I have 19" coupe wheels. I came across a few questions.
1. Do I have to roll my 04 Sedan rear Fenders to fit them?
2. If I have had some Paint work done to my drivers fender (involving im sure some type of bondo or something for when they filled the holes made by the pulling tool)... will rolling the fenders crack the paint?
3. Will shaving the fenders allow enough space for the wheels?
4. Is there any issues with fender shaving? and what exactly does this entail
5. If I drop the sedan on unrevised Z-springs will it matter?
6. Does anyone have pics of their sedans with 19's and NO drop?
7. Finally, if you were in my shoes, would you take the risk to roll, or would you settle with shaving the fenders?

The wheels are flush with the fenders, front & rear. If you lower the car say like 1 finger gap, you will most likely rub front and back during cornering or going over bumps. Unrevised springs with the 19s, you won't rub on the front but you will on the rear. There is no risk to rolling or shaving the fenders if done right.
The fronts are fine, you won't have any rubbing problems even lowered on z springs. It is the rear that is a problem. There is always a risk of cracking the paint when you roll fenders. You can do it properly to minimize the risk but there will always be a chance.
I have no personal experience with shaving but several people have done it and are happy with it (Klubbheads being one if I recall correctly). When you have your fenders shaved, they basically trim the lip of your fender (inside the wheelwell where you don't see anything) using a cutting tool.
I rolled mine (and yes I did have paint chipping which I had to have repaired). I was just not too keen on "cutting" anything on the body.
EDIT - just to add another option, you can also downsize the rear tires to avoid rubbing. I have been told a 235/40 will fit in the rear with no rubbing lowered on z springs.

i have had my fenders rolled with a special tool that bolts on to your hub and evenly rolls your fenders all the way around preventing any chipping or cracking. you will definately want to have them rolled no matter what ur drop is and possibly switch over to a 245/35/19 series tire for the rear instead of 245/40. thats just in my opinion, ive been rolling on coupe 19's for quite sometime now but i have some 20's on the way finally!

Yes the tool chobble spoke about is the best way, that's also how I did mine.
But you need to also use a heat gun and warm the clear/paint as you do it. The tool alone will not always save your paint.

Yes, as everyone has said, the front is fine. The rears are more of the problem. I just rolled my rear fenders. The problem is now gone. I'm also lowered on 350z unrevised on my 03. The tires are still the stock tires that came with the coupe 19s.

Just about all the online places will charge a deposit like that so they get it back. You can call around local and see if any of the performance shops have one.
