Replacing Brembo pads...

I am still far away from needing any brake work, but I was just curious if you have to actually buy Brembo brand replacement pads or are there cheaper brands that would fit? Either way, is there a cheaper place to get replacements than going through the dealer? 'Just want to plan ahead. Thanks.

Re: Replacing Brembo pads...

I find it hard to ever use the words Brembo and cheap in the same sentence. When it comes to replacement pads for pretty much any Brembo brake system, expect to pay big bucks. I haven't researched pricing myself either, as I'm in no need of any brake service just yet, but I know when the time comes, the pads will burn a hole in my wallet.

If and when you find out some pricing, post some more info here....

Re: Replacing Brembo pads...

I put EBC Greenstuff brake pads on my car. I could not stand the brake dust after 12K. They are great! No brake dust! They squeak on rare occasions, and it only cost me 129 dollars for all 8 pads on www.tirerack.com.

If you need help installing them, you can download my tutorial here.

Just open the swf file with internet explorer.

Hey, that sounds pretty good (except for the squeak part)! How long have you had those pads? Is the braking performance just as good as the stock pads? Thanks.
