Has anybody tried these sway bars? What are your impressions of them?

Re: Hotchkis Sway Bars

I would not bother with the Hotchkis bars since you should be able to get adjustable Eibach bars for very little difference in price. Their's a chance that www.Grupee-S.com still have the Eibach bars on clearance for $309 shipped, special price has never been on the web site that I know of, you'd have to call them to see if the clearance is still going on. Remember with the Eibach bars being adjustable front and rear you can tune the bars to your setup or driving style. Plus any site that I have seen the Hotchkis bars listed for sale touts the bars as being solid, yet when you visit Hotchkis's site, it's a corporate big deal about how they us hollow bars, makes me wonder about the places selling their bars, plus their isn't any info on the bars to know if they offer real sensicle bar stiffnesses vs stock. However, their web site does paint a picture on how thick the walls of their hollow tubing is, information compleatly absent from any other maker offering hollow bars.

In the grand scheme of things you have allot of bars to choose from. If one is not chasing a price point, I would go with the EVO350 bars, though my requirements were met by the Cusco's rather spot on. www.my350z.com is the best place to go and review actual owner experience's on several different bars, their search button will yield far less miss hits then the one employed here.

Re: Hotchkis Sway Bars

I can't seem to find much information on the eibach bars, either. None of the sites I have seen them advertised on tell me if they are hollow or not, including the eibach site.

I will have to take a look at my350z.com, thanks for the advice.

Re: Hotchkis Sway Bars

Here are all known specs on all the aftermarket bars you can get. I have not rattled Hotchkis's cage, so I have no info on them.

Nismo:
front- *36mm (hollow core design, like the stock bar)
rear- *22mm (hollow core design)
**I have since heard of a yet stiffer R-tune rear bar only to supplant the S-tunes rear bar, I have no earthly idea of when it will come out.

*However the this same person got different measurement's than I got when I used a dial caliper on the stock bars. So I have to question the accuracy of the above measurements. But their all I could find.

Cusco sway bar
35mm front solid, not hollow
22mm rear solid, not hollow
Front sway bar has two settings of 20% and 37% stiffer then stock
Rear sway bar is 73% stiffer then stock.
$450 (can go lower,shop for best$$ I got mine for $395 shipped)

Stillen 5-way adjustable bars
35mm front hollow 22mm rear hollow (converting from 1 3/8" & 7/8")
Claimed adjustment range 7% to 70% (unknown if both front and rear bars
have the same full 7% to 70% range)
$479

Mines Sway bars
Front 20% stiffer rear 30% stiffer
$699.00(OUCH!)

Eibach specs from Eibach.com
34mm hollow front 22mm hollow rear
Front bar is 2-way adjustable, rear bar is 3-way adjustable
$309 shipped clearance sale at www.gruppe-s.com (limited time offer, must call and ask if special is still on going at the time of this writting)

350EVO Sway bars 3-way adjustable front and rear
34mm front and 23mm rear solid bar construction, not hollow.
$545 shipped
Front bar
middle adjustment 11% stiffer
stiff adjustment 33% stiffer

Rear bar
middle adjustment 25% stiffer
stiff adjustment 53% stiffer
