Tire Size

I went to Discount Tire today. I have 20x8.5 and 20x10 wheel and Im trying to get 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 tires, which a lot of people here run and recommend. But the guy at discount tire told me that I should run 275/35/20 in the rear to match the height of the front. He told me that it will effect traction control, braking and other stuff if I run lower tire in the rear(1/4 in lower). Is that true? Should I get 275/35/20 that he recommended or should I get the 275/30/20 which everybody have?

I have 255/35/20 and 285/30/20 , those are pretty close to each other. You should consider it, little more meat on the tires for the bumps too.
