Tires for OEM 19s : The end-all thread
#182
I have a 2004 sedan. I found a good deal on a set of michelin ps2 tires. I was wondering is these sizes will work fine with my OEM 19s. 245/35/19 for the front and 255/35/19 for the rear. I can also get the 265/35/19 for the rears because the same guy is selling them and I was wondering what would be the best combination. I want to also make sure that they wont rub. I have my fenders rolled so thats not a problem, but my car is lowered. I would hope that the 265/35 would work.
Thanks!
Thanks!

So I read through all these posts... Yes I started at page one... and need some confirmation from the experts on my tire choice.
Will I be fine running 245/35/19 front and 265/35/19 rear on my 6MT coupe?
Don't know if it matters but I'm dropped on H-techs, hopefully I won't have to roll the fenders...
I did the comparison on that site and they're pretty much equal to stock size wise so the VDC and speedo shouldn't get all messed up.
Thanks for the help; its my first set of new tires!

dont know if you have your car dropped but tirerack has alternate tires for oem 19 inch rims of 245/35/19 - 275/35/19...these are the ones i will be ordering in 2-3 weeks.

No they do not, go read the fine print again. That tire size is recommend if you have wheels that can accommodate those tire sizes. Call them and they will tell you the same thing

really? i have 245/35 and 245/40 as suggested by redulude and they are working out JUST fine despite my initial disagreement. I don't how much they know about oem 19s if thats the ONLY tire sizes they recommend

well here is what i narrowed it down to all for 245/40/19 & 255/40/19....i think this will be ok on the stock 19's according to the calculator about a total of 3 percent off on the speedometer which i really dont care bout.
Hankook V12- no road hazard warranty, shipped nearly $700.00
Yoko S Drive- road hazard warranty, shipped nearly $1000.00
Kuhmo SPT- no road hazard warranty, shipped a little over $700.00
Kuhmo SPT- road hazard warranty, shipped a little over $800.00
i think i can do without the road hazard warranty cuz it might be covered in my extended warranty.
