lighter rims, lighter tires, shorter final gear ratio... i just don't understand everyone's need to buy 25# chromed dubs when 15" SSR comps are < 10 lbs... think UNSPRUNG WEIGHT peoples !#$#%@#$%^

I would do it only for track and that's it. If you look at the wheel well of the G35C, it eats rims easy. Now having 16's on a G35C will look like a skate board with small wheels... It would just look wrong.

Sure a 15" wheel is lighter, but you can't run 245-275 wide tires on those Miata 15x6-7.0's. Those dinky wheels also won't clear our brakes either. Sure, they would if we had some small single piston calipers wrapped around cute little 10-11"rotors like a Miata has(I can pick on you because I just sold my 2K LS/sport before my G35 was delivered). Of course the G35 is over 1000 lbs heavier than a Miata, so it needs bigger brakes. Because of the rotor and caliper size with the Brembos, you can't run smaller than a 17" wheel anyways. You can still reduce unsprung weight though. The 17x8.5" SSR Comps on my Maxima weigh only 15.1 lbs each with the center caps attached...I wonder how they would look on a G35?
