ANOTHER wheel question for this n00b

I know, I know, but thanks... you've all been super helpfull....

I think I've decided on the Sportmax 006 wheels for my sedan.

What size wheel do you think I should get?

18x7.5 w/ a 42 offset, 2.5" lip
18x8.5 w/ a 35 offset, 2.0" lin

I like the idea of the bigger lip, but is that offset getting too close?

EDIT: I meant 2.0 lip on the 8.5

No no, I'm not doing staggered.

the 7.5's have a bigger lip

Im trying to decide if i want the more narrow wheel with a bigger lip and bigger offset, or the bigger wheel with smaller lip and smaller offset

Whats up man, we are finally on a post that does not have any cops involved so lets try to get along lol. If I were you I would go with the narrow wheel and bigger offset and lip. Although if you go with the wider wheel you can always get spacers, but your lip still wont be as big.

Can you post up pixs of the wheels so those of us that are too lazy to do a google will know what they look like then we can help you decided. I say go for the wider wheel but there are plenty of 18" wheels that will give you just as wide a lip as the 7.5 width wheels...

Doesnt the bigger offset mean the wheel will actually be deeper in the wheelwell? Therefore to get the flush look, spacers would be needed more on the 7.5's... I'm really leaning towards the 8.5's

Yup, my bad, read it wrong. With the 8.5 you will have more of a flush look, but you will be sacrificing lippage, which in my opinion, is worth it. 2 inch lip is what a lot of people with sedans tend to have.
What color is the car and what color r u getting the rims in?

Please post pics of the 2 wheels, I have yet to ever see a set of wheels in the same design that are thinner and with a higher offset have a larger lip

Well, thats exactly what their website and customer service rep says.

I don't know of any manufacturer that provides pictures of EVERY wheel in EVERY possible configuration; sportmax is no different.
