brembo brakes

Is it worth to get the 6mt or the 5at? I have read about brembo brakes as being a high maintain thing to have. Is there any differences in the braking with and without the brembo. Thanks for all your inputs

Re: brembo brakes

Yes there is a large difference in breaking and with that goes the higher priced brake pads. Earlier in the Gs history dealerships were replacing brake pads at 6 months or less. But lately it seems people are more educated and are checking the pads themselves and realizing after 6 months they've only gone through about 10%. I wouldn't let the brakes determine 6mt or 5at but they are a plust.

Hey,Thanks TrentaCinque. So are you saying that the brembo is really good? Also, what types of pads would you install after the original pad is gone?

Re: brembo brakes

brembo's are top notch. however, std brakes might not be as good, but are covered 3/36.

6mt also gives other options that you can get on AT.
boils down really, to AT or MT

04 6mtC, DG - possibly most babied G on the board.

Re: brembo brakes

as far as brake lenth difference there is not very much. the brembos stop you only one or two feet shorter. which is very important but not a huge difference. the Brembos do on the other hand provide greater resistance to brake fade. they will take more heat befor fading due to the lager size of the caliber. unless u are planning on traking the car you wont tell much difference. You are better of on buy the stoptec or wilwood brakes as aftermarket ones for the ATs. they will be cheaper and provide just as good or better brakeing. good luck
