Winter tire suggestions?

I bought by car just before the winter ended and drove couple of times in 3"+ snow and know that i dont want to do it again.

I am looking to buy 4 new sets of tires and rims + TPMS. I currently have 17" front and rear on my car.

Please recomend websites / brand and approximate cost.

Thanks,

Tirerack sells good packages. The most popular ones around here the the dunlop m3's, and the blizzaks. I personally run the michelin pa2's and liked them. Pick up a set of used OEM 17's and get tires seperatly if you have the time since its summer. Lots of people are unloading stock wheels.

I got a set of 18"s with Dunlop M3's for about $2000 shipped from Tirerack. Well worth it, in my opinion.

This is my first sports car and my G currently has OEM tires. Are the Winter tires noiser / bumpier than the OEM tires? How do they feel on a moderate summer day?

Do not even think about using them in the summer, the warm weather will pretty much melt them, and you'll go through them very quickly.

This is a strange question to ask in May.

Just getting prepared. Dont want to buy the tires just before the snow hits the ground.

It's really scarry drivin the G with summer tires on 2" + snow.

One thing to keep in mind: a lot of tire sellers (on and off line) will not have stocks of winter tires until late fall/early winter.

You did not specify your model of G35 or your budget. Depending on your model and size required you might be able to get steel winter rims and dedicated winter tires, or as the others have said, you can by a winter rim and tire package from most big outlets.
There are also good deals on used sets on the site Marketplace quite often.
