Has anyone tried Nexen N3000 tires before?

I see them advertised for 340 for a set (4) of 245/45/18 ZR which is pretty cheap. That is like the price for a single Michelin Sport tire.
Has anyone tried these? Are they good? I am thinking of trying these out.
Thanks.

I got 4 255/40/18 dunlop summer tires shipped to me for $400 after rebate.
Check the premier section, I posted the coupon code

i've got them and they work great for me. the speed rating is 178 so i'm not worried when i go too fast and they are not loud at all. tread wear seems good too. I don't drag but i've been drifting with some people with 240s for about 2 years and they seem to hold up for along time. not the most awsome tire but a good bang for your buck and good performance. remember though, it all depends on how you drive.

He said nexens, not dunlops.

Great tire for the $. No snow. No cold weather. (They flat spot easily, but it goes away after a mile or 2)

Let me guess, all you guys have Pilot sports...

I indeed agree they are cheap. However, to say they are not safe or similar to the posts above is a bit hmm... oh nevermind. Everyone here is a genius when it comes to anything.

Personally, I don't believe high price = quality. If you do, well, you'll learn.

agree and as matter of fact, i had a set of pilots on in the rear and after 8 months, i was going 120mph and had a blow out. the inside of the tire had a chuck missing (size of a hand) and that almost killed me...thank god it was a 4 lane highway. i know driving that fast is crazy but still, higher price doesn't always equal performance. i've gone 150mph with these tires and they handle great. and to inform others, these were made in korea...thats probably why you never heard of them.

I personally went with the Genneral UHP 245/40/18 because of the low price ($112 each) and great ratings and reviews. They did better than many high priced tires.

I agree, why spend all thousands of dollars on mods and fancy wheels then cheap out on the #1 thing that keeps you safe, the tires.

Best suspension/power/braking mod out there is good quality tires.

You get what you pay for on them no matter what lies some people on here have convinced themselves to believe.

Anecdotal evidence about a blowout that could be cause by multiple variables isn't evidence that brand name tires are not superior. Decades of experience in the business and racing as well as commercial use on their rubber confirms that.

I've learned that you get what you pay for...most of the time with very very few exceptions.

people always try to think they'll dupe the system by paying less. they don't realize that there's a reason they're having to pay more and it's not just marketing and advertising costs.

So, pc's are inferior to macs, simply because they cost less at the store? (Yes, you can customize to your hearts desire, not the same point)

And my little Ralph Lauren jockey on my left breast tells me that its higher quality cotton than the next guys because its more expensive?

An oil change at the dealership must be a better than me doing it myself in my garage. IT MUST! It was more expensive!

You do not always get what you pay for. You'd be hard pressed to list everything that your money goes to when you buy something. Think about that when you bash something simply for its price. Alot of times it seems logical to do. I know. However its a bit foolish.
