im in the same situation as clint here... about to drop my deposit on some vs-xx
ill first apologize for the thread-jack if any, but im sure anyone reading this thread will appreciate the advice given... so, here's what i was proposing for my own sedan:
19x8 ET38 front; A-disk + 225/40/19 --> 2 in. of lip
19x9 ET48 rear; O-disk + 245/40/19 --> 2.5 in. of lip
sedan is lowered on OEM Z springs and im not considering going any lower... is it safe to assume that with the tire setup and camber given by the Z springs, i will NOT rub in the rear? i know i can go further out with the offsets or rim width, but by how much? i'd prefer not to roll fenders as much as possible....

correct!
i also have another setup im considering, but not sure of, which i posted elsewhere in the wheels/tires tech section... i just dont want to pull the trigger on a set of wheels and find out later that they rub or i have to pay more money to mod my fenders to accomodate.
as far clint's setup is concerned, i'd do the 19x8.5 ET42's all around with staggered tires... 225/40's in front and 245/40's in back...

Plus if i decide to go for the pilot sports, rotating them will come in very handy

the effect is minimal cosmetically and performance-wise - look at the newer Lexus IS - staggered tires. i currently run the same setup as a coupe w/ 18s - 225s in front, 245s in rear; my suggestion was basically the same as that of a coupe with 19s, which may be the way i go... ill decide this week on them
either way, please post pics when theyre on your car... many of us sedan drivers will need reference point when it comes to aftermarket custom sized wheels
