Cool Rim question

I just replaced my Michelin Pilot Sports OEM tires with Yokohama AVS ES100 in the same size as the factory OEM. My question is this....I thought the factory rims were wider in the rear than the front, is this true? When the wheels were off, the marking on the back of the rear rim was 18X8 but marked "R". The fronts are the same size? I noticed the bolt to prohibit the rears from being put on the fronts but I assume that's because of the stagger? I'z cornfoosed!

I am going to buy some inexpensive rims (Kazera KA) to mount some autocross tires and am wondering what the proper offset is? 25mm? Any advice is appreciated.

im assuming you have an 03-04 coupe in which case the wheels are the same size but OEM fitted with staggered tires... +25 would be good as far as offsets.

Yes, that's what I have. I guess the bolt is just there to prevent front to rear/rear to front rotation then. Thanks for the info.
