Yes, if you got new sensors, they need to be reprogrammed.

Dealer only. A Nissan dealer may be able to do it but an Infiniti dealer is a sure bet.

does anybody's TPM indicator make a ~5 second long beep with the low tire pressure light? I just got a low tire pressure light/beep tonight on my OEM rims. I have a winter set of rims w/o sensors that will be going on soon and I really hope everytime the light comes on I dont get that somewhat annoying beep. I can live with the stupid light but is there a way of shutting off the beep?

Tire Pressure Sensor Mystery???

Hey Gang,

I am really confused by this thread..maybe we can sort through this.
I have an 05 Coupe and when I put my winter wheels (without sensors) on I don't get the light coming on.

I know the light works..because it shows up when you turn the key to the "on" position.
Just before I took of my stock 19's one tire went to 29lbs and it set off the alarm.

So what is the deal??? Am I the only one who doesn't get the light??
No sensors = No Light??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Scott

So today, for the first time in like 2 years, my Low Pressure Warning light and chime went off when I started my car this morning.... I don't have the TPMS in my Work Wheels, but I do have my OEM wheels sitting in the garage... I'm guessing the air in those OEM wheels finally went below 28psi, causing my TPMS light to come on when I started the car, since the wheels are stacked against the wall not far from my car... Normally the light only turns on after about 30 minutes of driving... Now they stay on when I start the car, and won't turn off.

I'm fearing that even if I refill those tires, my light will not turn off, becuase they aren't installed on my car, so I can't go 16mph to reset... This sounds like it's going to be a PITA

And which do you think is easier or cheaper.... Lugging my 4 OEM wheels with me to the tire shop, and having them dismount/remount 8 tires, so they can move the pressure sensors... Or buying 4 new sensors, dismounting/remounting 4 tires to install them, then have the dealer re-learn them? Becasue these all sound tedious, that's why my wheels currently don't have TPMS in them.

That's why I banded the TPS sensors into my Maya rims.

They sell tpms reset tools for home use.
You can find one for about $150. That way you won't have to pay the dealer to reprogram yours, and if you are in a club, you can share the cost with other members.
