What lowering springs to get?

Think i am going to go with the tein s tech springs, but they only lower the car 1.2 in front and .9 in rear. I was thinking about the tanabe sustec springs. lower 2.2 and 1.7, respectively. But they are a lot more money. Is 2.2 to aggressive if i plan to add 19" aftermarket wheels. Pics and suggestions would be much appreciated.

Re: What lowering springs to get?

Depending on your location and daily drive, 2" drop may be more than you want. With the slightly longer wheel base, getting over speed bumps, parking lot entrances and other "obstacles" can be a PITA. Our coupe with the JIC's is pretty low, but not much lower than a coupe with eibach's or similar drop springs and you have to be pretty careful when driving it. The eibach's i've seen have been pretty similar though too. Maybe I'm just spoiled with my car, I dunno.... but it's still something to think about.
If you're just doing it for looks I wouldn't go too low (2"+ or so) as I feel the coupe doesn't need that much help. If you're looking for performance, you may want to look into coil-overs, as they offer higher spring rates than most of the drop springs offer.

Re: What lowering springs to get?

What is a reasonable amount that I need to pay to get lowering springs installed on our coupe?

Re: What lowering springs to get?

Got my Tein S Tech last September. The drop is more than enough if you go any lower it will be a real PITA. As it is I have to be careful getting in and out of steep parking entrances and speed bumps. Expect your G to scrape when you drop it no matter which springs you go with. The Teins it's just right for me any lower and it would drive me nuts going sideways on every little dip, incline or imperfections on the road.

Re: What lowering springs to get?

I don't think you need a Camber adjuster with the S-techs, but you might need to roll the fenders with Dubs.

Re: What lowering springs to get?

$125 for springs and $200 for coilovers.............that's just an average of course.
