Wheel Spacers revisit

Hi Guys,

I am looking at a set of M45 wheels with stock M45 Potenzas for my 2005 G35 Sedan and am concerned about using spacers. What do I need to replicae the stock offset and avoid any rubbing and what are the safety concerns if any? Which are the best spacers to buy?

Thanks

If I remember, 10-15mm is a good choice. H&R makes nice spacers but there are others. Just make sure to get the longer wheel studs with them.

I used 5mm eibach spacers on my M45 wheels. I would use the 10mm if I had to do it again.

5mm sounds too small for the M45s do you have pixs of what that looks like mounted?

5mmwill clear the brakes, however it will look tucked. I'd go 15mm for a flush look and you can get the spacers with the lugs in them, so it's easier to install.

How about the safety concerns of using spacers?

Yea most of the newer spacers that come with studs in them come with a conical bolt that will need a 4 prong tool to attach to your studs on your hub. Make sure the spacers come with this tool b/c i could not find a shop that had the tool. But i made a quick call to seller and he shiped it out free of charge in my case.

Are you still running the 5mm spacers with the factory length studs? If so any problems? Is it safe?

Would not recommend using 5mm without the extended studs.
