I have a 2005 infiniti sports coupe with the 19" wheels and stock tires. The rear tires have 3 times more wear on the outside than they do on the inside. i have replacement tires in the garage and will get these put on soon. however, any idea why the rear tires have so much more outside wear than inside wear?
fyi, front wear looks fairly uniform.

Is the wear smooth or a bit rough?

+1. Sounds like negative toe on the rears. Either way, it's gotta be your alignment.Originally Posted by skeleton_cru

my rears are wearing in the same way... im taking it in to the local body shop tomorrow for its annual inspection, so i guess i will ask them if an alignment is needed (though they will probably just say yes, just to get some more money)

update to the above post:
they told me that the first thing i should do would be to ask the stealership because if it can be done under warranty there's no point in spending money i dont have to spend..... hard to argue with that
