Nitrogen Tires,I'm sold.

Ok. I searched the threads on this. And although most of the G35 Driver "guru's" are somewhat sceptic to nitrogen in their tires,I'm sold.

More out of curiousity(because switching back to air is free) I had my tires filled with nitrogen on Thursday.
Fellow G drivers the difference is not minumal,it's drastic.

This car handled good before, quite frankly in my opinion it's shockingly better with nitrogen.Same with the ride, and i have aero.
The green valve caps that they put on after are not so appealing so there gone.

Anyone looking for green valve caps PM me

Are you sure it's not just that your tire pressure was off before, haven't really heard anyone say the handling is better with nitrogen in the tires.

I keep a gauge in my car.And I can be a little **** about proper tire pressure. So no.Tires for these cars aren't cheap. Were all aware of that! Some well say it's phsycological, but again no! It corners sharper and slightly easier.Just my opinion.I don't work for NASA

I thought the purpose of putting nitrogen in your tires was the anti-corrosive factor because there is no water vapor in nitrogen. I think this idea that your car now drives like a Porsche just because of a different gas in the tires is purely psychological.

^^^+1................ thats what I thought also.
I had nitrogen in my last set of tires and now I am running just air in my tires, I really don't think there is any difference in handling.

well unless some1 already went with nitrogen and know from personal experience that it doesn't really improve anything then your opinion is valaid. But since no1 here but the OP that has used nitrogen, i take his words over all you contradictors anyday.
Maybe i should haead to Cosco. How much did they charge for all 4 tires?

33psi of Nitrogen or 33psi of air is the same thing, from a handling perspective. The pressure is what matters, not the type of gas.

What our friend here is experiencing is a placebo effect.

The next thing he should try is a grounding kit for his engine. He'll surely gain 3 10ths in his 1/4 mile.

I'm runnin' JDM air in mine and it made my throttle response lightning fast, doubled my gas mileage, got rid of all my rattles and fixed the volume glitch on the bose stereo.

i think your conclusions about the difference in nitrogen is purely in your mind, supposely this stuff is suppose to keep your tires cool, enhancing life or whatever theyre advertising, yes in theory is suppose to but for the amount they put is no big deal, is just someones way of selling the stuff...

no way could it make it handle any better. most of what was in your tires before was nitrogen(air=78% nitrogen) all they did was remove the oxygen. they use it to prevent pressure changes in your tire as temp changes(doesnt really work in your application) and corrosion of your wheels. i started using nitrogen about 6 years ago when i had a flat in my work van and used nitrogen to fill it up to get home. went to get it fixed and they guy siad they sell the stuff so i switched over. no difference. when i bought rims for my g i had them refilled after a bit with nitrogen(rode for 3 months on air) and no difference.
