BRAND NEW VOLK RIMS FOR CHEAP in 6 weeks...takers?

Ok...pretty much my situation is that my car is in the body shop right now on bricks cus my stocks got jacked. Well to make a long story short...the insurance is giving me an adequate amount of money to get new rims. My dillema is that the rims i want to get have to be ordered from Japan and i would have to wait at least 6-8 weeks upon shipment. The thing is that i need to get rims now before they even start fixing the car. So i have decided to buy some 19" Volk rims and sell them in 6 weeks because it seems that everyone is familiar with Volk.

My offer to you guys is that I will spend the money to get brand new rims and tires...and sell them cheaper than what i bought them for to use the money to get the rims i really wanted to get from Japan. Before i do this, i wanted to know if most people on this board would wither prefer 19x8.5 19x9.5 Volk GT-7 ... or Volk SF Challenges. I would post pics but i'm in a hurry. Hopefully you guys should know what they are anyways. I guarantee i'll make it real cheap for some rims that i would only be rolling in for about a months time. I will be very reasonable towards low prices...i just need the money when the rims get here ASAP. So before that...at least tell me what would be a better seller...19" Volk GT-7 ... or Volk SF Challenges??? Thanks alot guys.

Why don't you just buy a used set of stock wheels?

Seems like an odd way to approach this dilemna (sic?) of yours.

I'm sure there has to be cheaper ways than buying these specific Volk wheels for temporary use.

Anyways, to answer your question, I'd prefer
Volk GT-7s, in gunmetal.
19x8.5 +23 offset in the front
19x9.5 +24 offset in the rear, only because I've seen this set-up before and it works.

For tires,
Bridgestone S-03 Pole Position
245/35-19 fronts
275/35-19 rears

Some guy in Texas was selling his set with less than 100 miles for $2400 plus shipping. He paid $3200.

I live in NorCal and would be willing to pick it up from you in SoCal. If it's gonna be on your car for 6 weeks, I'm thinking you'll have around 2000 miles or so. Unless you're willing to take a hit of close to if not more than $1000, you might wanna think this out some more.

I can't see myself paying more than $2000 for your set of wheels and tires.

But do keep me in the loop if you still decide to take this route.

YEP...got jacked....but anyways, for everyone to know in here. It's confirmed i'm getting the VOLK SF-Challenge. 19x8.5 front +21 offset and 19x9.5 rear +28 offset. Tires are Dunlop SP9000. Not sure about the series of the tire...i'll get back to you guys on that.

In regards to your rims, where did you get those offset's from? Are you running Brembo's?

I had a friend with a Sedan w/ sports package who got her wheels jacked. Insurance gave her ~$4000-4500 as well. The crooks who stole them left her car on bricks for her...very nice of them.

Hum....I doubt you can get the sf challenges in time man. I had to order mine. They are somewhat on backorder right now except for revhighsales i think! Don't quote me on that.

I don't think the offsets on the coupe will fit the sedan!

Re: BRAND NEW VOLK RIMS FOR CHEAP in 6 weeks...tak

Actually i had a direct connect with mackin. On stock they had for the coupe the gt-u, gt-7, and sf-challenge. So i'm basically already getting them by this monday. The reason why these offsets in particular is so that it can accustom to to other cars other than g35s and z's and yes i have the brembos. Also i think the 6 weeks has been cut down to 3 weeks or so my supplier says.

That shouldn't hurt his premium, it's an "at fault" claim that hits your rates, if it's a huge problem where he lives, everyone with a similar car may get a hike in premiums! I had my comprehensive rate increased when I owned my '97 F-150, everyones insurance raised it on pickups that year, there is a huge truck theft problem here!
