For those with mesh wheels..

how is ur cleaning experience? a pain in the *** or not as bad as peopel think. i did a search but most post are replies on some one saying, "damn those must be hard to clean" or something to that affect.

They ARE a pain........but they're worth it IMO. As long as you love the look of em, you won't mind cleaning em

They are a pain, but worth it. What's worst is a stainless steel wrapped lip. I dry mine till bone drive and as soon as I move the car, the wheels are covered with water spots...

it's really not that hard to clean mesh wheels...i spend a maximum of 2 mins per wheel...others with the same wheels as me always ask how mine are so clean...

hexx is just lazy.

i really don't think the difficulty of cleaning a wheel should be a big factor, or one at all, when purchasing wheels. but that's jmho..

I have no trouble keeping mine clean. I do give them a coat of Wheelwax once a month which helps. When I an finished washing the car I use a Simonize car wash brush with the long handle just for cleaning the wheels , I just use my regular car wash soap. I don't even have to get down to clean them, the bristles get in the spokes nicely and the long handle makes it easy.
These are the wheels I'm talking about:

2 minutes using q-tips too?? Now I know you are full of it Calvin. I don't use q-tips every time but when I do, it takes even longer to properly clean these wheels.

As far as my G being slow . . . . yeah, you are right, it sucks.

Thats just after a cleaning, insanely annoying but as stated above well worth it. I think mesh wheels look great on any car but especially on coupes. Every Friday after work I have setup a routine where I go to the hand car wash pull to the side and clean my rims. Takes about 20min but again well worth it
